The Vu is powered by Qualcomm's dual-core 1.5GHz S4 processor, which we've found to be as fast as some quad-core processors in benchmark results. There's an 8-megapixel camera on the back, and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. It also has about 26GB of free memory to store your data.
The Vu comes with a stylus (called the "Rubberdium Pen"), which is a bigger, thicker stylus than the Galaxy Note's, with a soft, rubbery tip. It doesn't fit into a slot in the phablet; you'll have to get a carrying case with spaces for both. The Vu has a built-in note-taking program and a "QuickClip" feature, which lets you scribble over anything on the screen.
As with Samsung and the Galaxy Note, LG makes a good argument for various ways you'd want to use the Vu. There's Comixology for comic books, and magazines look great in Zinio. But in each of those cases, you still have to zoom between full-page images and the text of individual panels or articles; unlike on a 7-inch tablet, the Vu just isn't quite big enough for the text to be readable. So before you consider a device like the Vu, first ask yourself this: Do I want a phone or a tablet? If you aren't sure, the Vu might be right for you.
